Project in three stages
A spiral staircase, tread by tread
Curved treads have to be finished in place, one at a time, working downward so nothing is walked on before it cures. These three frames come from the same staircase in a Gulf-front home — and the middle one catches the job exactly halfway.

Stage 01
Bare oak
Treads set and sanded, still raw. Nothing is committed until the first tread proves the colour against the white stringer.

Stage 02
Halfway, in one frame
Upper treads still bare oak, lower treads already carrying the finish, the can sitting where the work stopped. This single photograph is the before and the after at once.

Stage 03
Even, top to bottom
Two hours later the run reads as one piece — consistent depth through every wedge, against hand-finished white balusters.
